Author: Linda Youngs and Alan Perks

Linda Youngs is a retired nurse, widow and mother of 3 daughters. Navigating the Health Care system through countless surgeries with her youngest daughter who has a physical disability taught her how to advocate “for the best of less than ideal choices”. She enjoys being outdoors on her hobby farm in SW Ontario and in the past bred and showed purebred Siberian Huskies and kept and enjoyed horses. Alan Perks has worked for many years on care and housing needs in Toronto and Ottawa. He is also a civil engineer with experience in wheelchair accessibility in homes, apartment building, hotels and transportation.
